Flotation in both ends of boat (air bags or bulkheads)

Bailing device

Rain gear and hat

Warm change of clothes (polypro type preferred)

Fresh water

Basic outdoor items, incl. whistle, waterproof matches/lighter, flashlight, sunglasses and sunscreen, knife
